Our Board

Our Board of Directors comprises nine voting members, each elected or appointed for a two-year term. 

Our organization is governed by a committed Board of Directors made up of nine voting members. Seven members are elected by the community and Corporation members, representing Deep River and surrounding municipalities (Head, Clara & Maria and Laurentian Hills). Two appointed members represent residents from our Long-Term Care and Supportive Apartment programs.

FAQs

NRLTC offers long-term care, supportive care apartments, short-stay/respite, as well as in-home support program.

Care Plans are each individually written based on each resident’s care needs for 24 hours.


Admission for long-term care and short stay respite is through Ontario Health at Home: 613-732-7007

Admission for the apartments is through the Centre.



Rates for long-term care are determined by the Ministry of Health. 

Apartment rents are $869.00 for a one bedroom apartment and $956.00 for a two bedroom apartment.

Payment options include cash, cheque or e-transfer. 

Residents in Basic beds can apply for a provincial subsidy. 

Apartment tenants can apply for a provincial subsidy for rent-geared-to-income.

We also accept payments through private funding and may assist with applications for subsidies through Ontario programs such as the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) for eligible medical care costs. 

Additionally, some residents may qualify for support through programs like the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), ADP, or the Long-Term Care Home Subsidy. 

We will gladly discuss payment plans and financial options to find a solution that works for you.




The dietitian works closely with the residents and staff to ensure we are accommodating their needs.



The NRLTC is a safe and secure building, with security coded doors at every entrance. Doors are locked during evening and night shifts. Staff are present 24 hours a day and receive Emergency Preparedness training routinely.
 


We know how crucial visitation is for residents; that is why we will never prevent family from visiting their loved one. To facilitate this, education on Infection Control Processes will be offered in the event of a pandemic.
